The History of Whispering Oaks Terrace
In 1886 Jacques Escallier immigrated from his native France to begin his life in America. He produced wine and sold it to the passengers on the stage coaches that visited his stage stop.
Whispering Oaks Terrace is located on the property that was originally the Escallier stage coach stop, the family winery, vineyard and olive grove. The Moramarco Family purchased this beautiful property in 1969. Since then some of the vineyards and olive groves have been restored and a portion has been developed into a site for fun and happy occasions. Because of the breezes that blow through the 300 year old oak trees, we decided to call it "Whispering Oaks Terrace."
This ornate hillside property has an elegant white gazebo entwined by a 100+ year old Mission grapevine with covered amphitheater style seating (just like you’d see in Europe). A large dance floor sits between the wedding gazebo and the reception area. An original rock wall with 2 water fountains and a fireplace back an area that can be used as a second dance floor or is the perfect place for a long head table area is waiting for your use.
There is a large, tranquil dining area under the oaks for all of your guests and in the center of the reception area is a beautiful large gazebo for the Bride and Groom to dine in or dance.
Whispering Oaks Terrace offers a unique beverage (Grotto) bar under a rare Great Oak Tree. There are a total of 5 water fountains in the venue. A very long, tiled buffet table sits ready for your caterers use, as well as a hidden staging area for your meal to be prepared. There is on-site parking for 85+ vehicles.
